Made in Hayward Difference Maker

Purpose

 

The purpose of the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” program is to recognize employees that have gone above and beyond what is expected in his/her position and they have made exceptional efforts to enhance or enrich student’s educational experience.

 

How is the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” selected?

 

*Each site Principal refers 1 representative to their Director of Academics. 

 

*Each Director of Academics chooses 1 nominee to represent the feeder.

 

*The Superintendent and his cabinet staff will select 1 “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” to represent the district monthly.

 

How can I promote the program at my site?

 

Each month, every school will receive two posters to promote the program and honor the HUSD Made in Hayward Difference Maker for the month . One poster should be on display in the main office, the other to be placed in another prominent location.

 

Who nominates the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” at the school?

 

The principal is responsible for submitting the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” nomination form for the site each month. The selection process for a nominee at the site level is determined by the site administration team.

 

Who sponsors the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” program?

 

Southland Mall and JCPenney sponsors the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” program.

 

MADE IN HAYWARD DIFFERENCE MAKER NOMINATION PROCESS

 

Step 1:

Identify a “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” for the month.

 

Step 2:

Complete the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” form before the nomination deadline.

Step 3:

Director of Academics will review nominations forms and select one “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” to represent each feeder (three total).

 

Step 4:

The Hayward Unified School District cabinet members will review the three nominations and select one “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” for the month.

 

Step 5:

 

If your site nominee is selected as the “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” of the month and photo and a quote (5 words max) will be obtained by the District Communications Coordinator.

 

Step 6:

The Hayward Unified School District “Made in Hayward Difference Maker” of the month will be honored at a board meeting and they will receive a $60 gift card for the JCPenny Salon in Southland mall.
