Made in Hayward Oratorical Festival

The MIH Oratorical Festival is an event designed to give Hayward students an opportunity to shine through public speaking. Students from private, to charter, to public schools can apply to enter the challenge.

Students recite a personal speech or poem, or they can recite an inspirational speech from a leader such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Cesar Chavez, Hillary Clinton, Toni Morrison, or other great leaders in history that aligns with the festival's theme. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners are selected from a panel of judges. All three winners receive prizes such as cash, ipods, Made in Hayward swag and much more.

This event is open to the public and is free of charge.
