Safe and Inclusive Schools Program Elementary Curriculum Implementation

Descriptions: Review video and literature based curriculum and practice lesson plans for use with students. Be able to model lessons for other teachers at your site. Materials address ally building skills and providing positive images, language and themes reflecting our community’s diversity (such as race, learning abilities, gender expression and family configuration including LGBTQ family members.

Be part of the making of history!  The Fair Education Act Regional Institute is designed to include teachers,students, parents, and community members from the Education, Disability and LGBT communities to come together to explore the Fair, Accurate, Inclusive, and Respectful (FAIR) Education Act, and how to shape the teaching of Disability and LGBT history in grades 7-12 social studies classes in California.  Middle and High School Social Studies, History and Language Arts (General and Special Education) teachers, and Parent Center Staff are encouraged to attend this institute.
