Youth Enrichment Program
Youth Enrichment Program (YEP) operates expanded learning programs at our nineteen elementary schools (Burbank, Cherryland, East Avenue, Eden Gardens, Eldridge, Fairview, Faith Ringgold, Glassbrook, Harder, Longwood, Lorin Eden, Palma Ceia, Park, Ruus, Schafer Park, Southgate, Stonebrae, Treeview, and Tyrrell), five middle schools (Bret Harte, Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King, Jr., Anthony Ochoa, and Winton) and three high schools (Hayward, Mt. Eden, and Tennyson), Monday thru Friday, from the end of the school day to 6:00pm. These programs offer opportunities for students in grades TK-12th to enhance their 21st Century skills, explore educational opportunities, and broaden their life experiences.
Along with academic support (which includes credit recovery and Bridge to College for middle and high school students only), these programs provide enrichment activities from fitness to cooking classes. YEP strives to create safe and supportive environments to make our students feel connected to their school communities and excited to learn new skills that will impact their academic and social outcomes beyond their participation in our programs.
