Summer Middle School Bridge To College Enrollment

YEP's Bridge to College program is the only program in California -  and possibly, the nation - designed to provide college & career exploration to HUSD students beginning in the 7th grade through 12th grade.  In partnership with Chabot College, instructors provide courses, directly after school, to expand students’ college-level mindset and prepare for college-level work and instruction.

Bridge to College allows students to complete college courses while they complete middle school and high school. Courses offered every Spring and Fall. The course and books are free!

 

To participate, students must:

• HUSD current 6th, 7th & 8th grade students

• Complete the YEP and Chabot College online application process

• LUNCH IS PROVIDED!

 Summer Digital Media Camp

• Summer Digital Media Camp (non-Credit Course):

  • Sign up to learn digital art production, & design graphics to communicate a message!
  • Create and manipulate digital images using principles of art!
     

• Please Note: Add to Waitlist and you will be contacted by a YEP staff member to finalize your registration

 Summer Theater 1

• Summer Theater (THTR 1 - 3 Course Units):

  • Develop basic principles of acting
  • Practice performing exercises
  • Learn techniques and theories of acting
  • Explore Improvisation
  • Study movie scenes

• Follow Steps 1 - Final Step below for this class:

 APPLY OpenCCC (Access the Application Form)

• Previous/Returning Chabot Students:

  • Video Tutortial

  • Log in

  • IMPORTANT: Keep track of your CCCID and Confirmation Number

  • Apply for Summer 2023 with Chabot

    • Click "Start a New Application" and choose the current semester (Summer 2023)

•  NEW Chabot Student:

  • Video Tutorial (English)

  • Select “Create New Account” and follow the instructions

  • IMPORTANT: Use a personal email address (not your school email), write down the password somewhere safe, and keep track of your CCCID

  • Apply for Summer 2023 with Chabot

    • Click "Start a New Application" and choose the current semester (Summer 2023)
       

• IMPORTANT: Keep track of your OpenCCC Apply ID and Confirmation Number
  
  After completing this step WAIT 2-5 days for your Classweb account to be activated. If you have not received your W# within 2-7 days follow step 2.

 How to find your Student ID number (W number) via CLASS-Web

If you received your W # via your personal email, Skip this step.

3. Enter your user ID (CCCID) this usually has 3 letters filled by 4 numbers

4. Enter your PIN (Default PIN is students birthdate in numerical format: MMDDYY).

5. Login, scroll down and click on What is my W ID?

• What you will need before you start

  • Student personal email (not HUSD email) if your student does not have a personal email feel free to use a secondary parent email

  • Parent/guardian email -(different from student email)

Please Note: The info you will enter for the Principal/counselor will be Maya Hernandez, alhernandez@husd.k12.ca.us

• You will need your student W number

•  SUMMER 2023 Semester Confirmation number

• Student will receive an access code via email, student will then fill out section 1, section 2 and section 4

• After the student completes the sections above, the form will be sent to the parent/guardian to complete and sign Section 3. After parent/guardian signs, please download a copy and save.

• Once both parties complete all sections, the form will go to Maya Hernandez for her signature and will then be sent to Chabot.
